The Promise, in One Paragraph
Every job Barrett & Sons completes is backed by a written 90-Day Done Right Promise. If the work we performed doesn’t hold up within 90 days of the service date, call us. One call brings Tom back. No forms, no fees, no chasing paperwork. Tom Barrett puts his name on every contract, and he means it – the guarantee is written in plain English on the front of every agreement, not buried in a footnote on the back.
What’s Covered
- The workmanship on any job we performed. If something we built, installed, or repaired fails within 90 days because of how it was done, that’s on us.
- Parts and materials we supplied and installed. If a component we sourced and put in place fails within the 90-day window, we come back and we make it right.
- The return visit itself. There’s no charge for us to come look – not a trip fee, not a diagnostic fee, nothing.
- A full redo when a repair doesn’t hold. If we patched something and it comes apart again inside 90 days, we don’t just patch it again – we figure out why and we fix it properly.
- Clean-up after the return visit. We leave the job the same way we left it the first time: clean. Your home isn’t our storage facility.
- Any scope we signed for and completed. The written contract is the record. Whatever’s on that document and finished is covered.
What Isn’t Covered
These exclusions are fair, and we think most homeowners will agree. If you’re not sure whether something qualifies, call us anyway – we’ll come look, and we’ll be straight with you about what we’re seeing.
- Storm damage, accidents, or outside events after we left. A tree limb through a roof we re-shingled last month is a storm problem, not a workmanship problem. We’ll still come assess it – we just can’t call that a warranty claim.
- Work done by someone else after our visit. If another contractor touches the job after we’ve finished, we can’t stand behind what we didn’t do. That’s not fine print – that’s honest.
- Parts or materials a customer supplied. We install what we source, and we back what we source. If you brought the fixture or the hardware, we can’t control the quality of the product.
- Normal wear on equipment we didn’t install. If we replaced a single door and the twenty-year-old hinges on the adjacent door give out, that’s age, not our work.
- Problems we flagged and you chose not to address. If we noted an issue during the job and put it in writing, and you decided to hold off, that pre-existing condition isn’t something we can own later. We do document these in writing, which protects both of us.
- Cosmetic changes in preference after the job is done. If the tile color is exactly what you approved and you’ve had a change of heart, that’s a new conversation – and we’re happy to have it – but it falls outside the promise.
How to Use the Promise
Step 1: Call (877) 610-1318 – or book online.
Tell whoever picks up that you’re calling on the 90-Day Done Right Promise. A live person answers that line around the clock, every day of the week – you will not reach a voicemail box or an out-of-state call center.
Step 2: Tell us the job and roughly when.
Give us your name and a brief description of the work – “the kitchen floor install in March” is plenty. We have every job on file. You don’t need a receipt, a job number, or a contract in hand.
Step 3: We schedule the return visit.
We’ll get a time on the calendar that works for you. The window we give you is the window, and if something shifts on our end, we call you before it slips – not after.
Step 4: We make it right.
Tom or one of his sons will be on-site to see the issue firsthand. If it’s covered, we fix it – no invoice, no debate, no “let me check with the office.” That’s what the promise means.
Timing
The 90-day window runs from the date we completed your job – that date is recorded on your contract. If something comes up on day 91 or 92, call us anyway. We are not going to hide behind a calendar if the issue is clearly tied to our work. Every Barrett & Sons location is independently operated by a local owner who answers his own phone, and every one of them honors this promise the same way. The guarantee isn’t a corporate talking point – it’s written on the front of the contract, and the person who signed it is the person who answers when you call.
Questions About the Promise
If anything above leaves you uncertain, call (877) 610-1318. A live person picks up, and if you’d rather talk to Tom directly, ask for him. There’s no form to submit, no queue to navigate, and no reason to be unsure about what you’re covered for. If we did the work, we stand behind it – full stop.
